Those of us canoeing with Paddle to Protect are nearing the end of our journey. We’re so grateful for the time we’ve been able to spend with the water, and with allies in this struggle.
As always, follow along our journey on the Stop Line 3 Facebook page. Here’s one of the posts we shared there:
“Our crew pulled in late tonight after a 20+ mile paddle, the longest pull we have done on this entire trip! Our spirits were high throughout the day, even when it was dinner time and we were still deep in the middle of one of the biggest swamps in the state with no campsite for miles. We were honored to be with with water as the sun set and the moon rose. We passed over 8 pipelines today south of Highway 2 outside of Ball Club, MN where the six pipelines Enbridge mainline corridor converges with two TransCanada lines. We came across a contractor in a kayak measuring the depth of the pipes. We put our tobacco down and laid prayers for the waters, for our communities, and for those heading to the front lines in Wisconsin and Canada. Together we can #StopLine3!”
