Ban the plastic tags, make garment packaging eco-friendly

The Issue

The little things matter.

Pick any new outfit in a shop; the price tags come attached with little plastic strings— attached to the hundreds  of new outfits in every retail store!

To the flippant eye they are something to quickly discard and move onto the process of dressing up in new clothes.

Let’s give it a second thought: these tags are too small to be recycled and they quickly get discarded into our general waste- wet or dry. Either ways they are not good for our environment and they add to the trillion tons of micro plastic floating in our oceans and destroying life there.

Buy a new shirt, it comes wrapped in a non-recyclable plastic cover and plastic place holders. This has to stop.

We need to Ban the plastic tags and covers and package new garments in eco-friendly alternatives only.
