Majority of Buses and Trucks use extremely loud ear shattering horns with a motive of intimidating people on the road and move faster than speed limits and thereby make more trips. The defined decibel limit for automobile horns is not being enforced. Sound pollution is the primary effect which causes irreparable damage to hearing power in children. The more dangerous aspect is that helps clearing of roads for heavy vehicles which then go on over speeding and rash driving endangering lives of people on road. Banning of these high pitch multi tone horns and enforcement of decibel limits will make our environment quieter as well as much safer to travel on roads. Let us represent to the Ministry of Surface Transport and to The Pollution Control Board for enforcing the restrictions
