

After Case officer issued S56 for more information, CO never looks back for several months
The issue
The processing time of visas is gradually increasing only because of lake of smartness the department has. For example, for most of the visa subclasses Case officers ask for more information issuing s56, but after further information provided by the applicants, the case officer who requested further infos never looks back on that file for several months. Sometime a new case officer is assigned and asks for same infos again. If case officers take more than 6 months to come back on that file, most of the docs expired and the applicants need to do it again. So why they don’t set up notification in place so that they immediately knows once applicants provided the requested documents and finalize the application?
