As we all are going through a difficult phase in a pandemic it is really sad to see the government’s decision to charge GST on medical items and medical oxygen, so much required for a Covid patient at the following rates :

1) REMDISIVIR -12%

2) Medical oxygen-12%

3) oximeter -20%

As a common citizen , I believe these  GST rates are unfair to the citizen of India . It also shows how insensitive our govt is to the plight of common citizen . The price of all the medical products required for treatment of a covid patient should have ZERO GST .

In a pandemic, people’s health should be a priority and not collection of taxes from the misery of common people . I urge the government to consider, as only it can rectify and remedy the situation immediately as we now have the  highest number of reported COVID-19 cases in INDIA .
