We would like to have your support to request the Ministry of Education Malaysia to withdraw/cancel their arrangement to transfer senior teachers of SJKC schools to other schools based on following reasons.

1. Due to the COVID-19 pandemic, students and teachers are already struggling to adjust to the new norm and to cope with the new study system via google class online, the arrangement to transfer students‘ beloved teachers out to other schools suddenly not only affects the students‘ original learning plan which should continue to be carried out from last year but also impacts students‘ rights to study under the teachers who understand and know them the best throughout these years. Especially, some of those teachers have been our students‘ form teachers for years.
2. Such last minute transfer arrangement notice gave insufficient time for the impacted schools to make feasible adjustments for the upcoming new semester because the teachers who are asked to be transferred in and out of the schools may not be specializing in the same teaching subjects, which will increase the difficulty for the schools to make changes and arrange suitable teachers for the class schedule already planned for the upcoming new semester commencing in next week on 20/1/2021.
3. We saw no benefits for students, parents, and teachers to undertake such changes at the very last stage at this point when the new semester is about to start. Especially when several senior teachers with great teaching experience are asked to be transferred out from the schools at the same time, this not only hurts the completeness of the schools‘ existing education resources, but also does not consider students, parents, and teachers‘ own will too. There is no pre-discussion and workaround plan made with the impacted parties in advance.
4. As everyone is already undergoing very challenging time with the COVID-19 pandemic, the sudden decision to transfer teachers to other schools certainly negatively impacts both teachers and students‘ emotion too. Both students and teachers need to take time and effort to adapt to the change.  This not only will downgrade the quality of the learning process but also discourage students‘ passion on learning and teachers‘ devotion on teaching.
