During this Covid-19 pandemic, many students' grades have dropped significantly due to an influx of stress and the unrealistic expectations we are setting for them. Online school does not work nearly as well for the average student (and is even worse for those without access to the right technology), mainly because the curriculum has not been reduced enough; and with the addition of the quadmester, students have even less time to work. School is difficult enough already, now with little to no social interaction and these extremely strenuous circumstances bringing down students' grades, it's a wonder anybody's passing at all!

What is suggested is a grade boost to help raise students' grades to also reflect the work being put in, instead of exclusively using their marked assignments and tests. Students' are unfairly punished by something out of their control, and it is severely affecting their mental health, not to mention how much more difficult it makes their university applications. What are students supposed to use to apply if they have sub-par marks and could not participate in any extra-curricular activities?

With a grade boost, students who are in the 40s will be given opportunities to pass the class, students in the 50s will be bumped into the 60s, those in the 60s will be bumped into the 70s, 70s students will get a 7 percent boost, and children in the eighties will get a 5 percent boost.
