Despite AHAR claiming that they have NO SPARE FUNDS they decided to travel to Dungarvan HORSE fair on Friday to BUY more dogs. A round trip of 300 km and roughly 4.5 hours journey time. Certainly not the best use of resources IF funds are as low as claimed. *Please note - AHAR again are saying it takes a couple of days for funds to clear via PayPal. How come on the day of fair, when AHAR are begging for money to BUY dogs, do they manage to clear funds? Where does the money come from? A contradiction indeed. •A small but respected rescue Waterford Animal Welfare attend that fair, so why did AHAR feel the need to go? •Why did they not liaise with WAW? Waterford Animal Welfare group rescue various animals, so surely they would be in the best position to deal with local animals? •Why do the photographs taken avoid ANY distinguishing markers that could shame any dealers? •Why did no-one else see these dogs AHAR claim were at the fair? Particularly as Dungarvan Horse Fair was very quiet this year with a poor turnout compared to the norm. •IF dogs were being sold they would surely be visible to others to advertise their wares? •Do these dodgy dealers go to every fair, and seem to hide from anyone apart from AHAR? If you compare AHAR to WAW, it is very clear who was there purely for the animals and who was the one using it to raise funds. Also AHAR claim that they will continue to attend fairs until the law changes - yet they still BUY underage puppies and unchipped dogs and NEVER report. They themselves are IGNORING LEGISLATION. AHAR are still not campaigning for ANY changes at the fairs, where this claimed abuse takes place - why not? Remember AHAR have been spotted several times at fairs bringing dogs in and photographing the dogs they brought with them as if at the fair. AND FINALLY We have a dog - from Kerry - going for free on DoneDeal last week that looks strikingly similar - could be an identical twin - to a dog AHAR 'rescued'. coincidently AHAR are also from Kerry.
