"The Animal Health and Welfare Act 2013 includes provision for increased powers for authorised officers to investigate complaints of animal cruelty, and stricter penalties on convictions." https://www.rte.ie/news/2014/0307/600705-animal-welfare/ AHAR were at Listowel fair today, and there are two cases in particular we want to highlight. The first is Spirit - a dog so emaciated that she could not move. BOUGHT when she is an obvious rescue case and could be confiscated. Instead of reporting, AHAR financially reward those who abused this poor dog and the abusers face no consequences. When it was asked on the AHAR page if they had reported the abuse the comment was quickly deleted. By not reporting, AHAR are perpetuating the cycle of abuse. Next we have "Buster" a dog that is likely stolen. The owner of Buster has contacted the page and no answer seems forth coming. If indeed this is the stolen dog, then once again AHAR have failed to report, handled stolen goods and again rewarding those who committed a crime. #EnoughIsEnough We are under 1,500 signatures away from 40,000. Please keep up the good work spreading the word and adding to the growing number of voices who want AHAR held to account. Without us, the animals have no voice. www.stop-the-cruelty.com #AHARExposed #IsTHISRescue #StopTheCrueltlyAtAHAR AHAR Exposed Team
