Injunctive relief from exorbitant, onerous boarding charges for dogs seized by BCSPCA

Injunctive relief from exorbitant, onerous boarding charges for dogs seized by BCSPCA
The Issue
The Howl Network in support of Spirit of the North Kennels asks The Minister of Agriculture to provide injunctive relief and allow Spirit of the North an adequate attempt to defend without being extorted and also a review of Farm Board white washed review in support of BCSPCA. As The Howl Network has received other complaints of questionable actions by the rescue community we would also ask for a review of BCSPCA policy and standing and abuse of power using emotional one sided stories to raise funds in a difficult charity thinned arena.
Spirit of the North Kennels sled dogs and rehabilitation boarded dogs were seized by the BCSPCA that told an emotional one sided story with many questionable charges with no chance for a defense without proceeding to Supreme court in the backlogged BC courts. Kennel fees are exorbitant and onerous because of number of dogs and if not kept current then by charter the BCSPCA can euthanize or adopt out....Sled dogs are challenging to rehome. Especially well trained very fit and healthy and loved racing sled dogs.
Taken away in an unventilated u-haul screaming with no chance for the owner to calm the dogs...No abuse charges,....Again...NO ABUSE CHARGES!!
All action taken as a result of disagreements during a historic cold snap over new regulations for sled dogs. More insultation for houses? A speculative assertion that results in all dogs being seized. Human thermometer used to measure dog temperatures. A rehab boarded dog cited as not a two coat dog. The Howl Network and the owner have strong visual proof of the inaccuracy of the charge. Multiple other charges are defensible but no one will allow the owner a chance for a rebuttal. Even CBC stated owner declined to be interviewed which is also untrue as he is ready and has video out to the contrary. The Howl Network will be holding a virtual event "The Howl Heard Round the World Part 2". The tenth anniversary of Animal Abuse Prevention Day in BC. The original Howl Heard Round the World was attended around by 45,000 people around the world. At the time of this petition's start, events are planned from the end of the month through Sept 1. This is going to be a very internationally public cry or HOWL as we say and would encourage you to look at this seriously. I apologize for the timing with the indigenous and the fire situations taking most of the government's time.....That does not mean much to dogs ripped form a loving and always safe for decades home because of the ego of an inexperienced inspector. Thank you for your time,
Wade Shaw.....Founder of Animal Abuse Prevention Day in BC. April 23rd 2021 the tenth anniversary of the only AAPD in the country.
