Lands containing Cairn Wood Forest are currently for sale by Northern Ireland Water (under Department for Regional Development) as part of the sale of Ballysallagh Upper Reservoir. Public access of this popular destination within the Craigantlet Hills near Bangor, Newtownards, Holywood and Dundonald is at risk if sold to a private owner with Council previously agreeing not to explore purchase.
