Dear Sir,

I would like to bring your attention towards an anti Dalit, Hinduphobic and full of hatred webseries called Tandav on the OTT platform of AMAZON starring Mr. Saif Ali Khan and produced by Himanshu Kishan Mehra and directed by Ali Abbas Zafar which was released on Amazon Prime on 14.01.2021.

This series is anti Hindu, Hindu phobic as well as Hindu abusive, whose sole motive is to shame the Hindu religion and people and portray Hindu deities in a deleterious manner.

Mr Saif Khan is a repeat offender and so are the OTT platforms on which such series are aired. We Hindus are insulted, abused, mocked and despite being majority in Bharat, treated worse than minorities due to certain articles in the constitution and unjust reservations.

Is the government going to turn a blind eye to our abuse of dignity because of the above? Does the ministry not have a responsibility for the abuse of creative freedom of expression biased against Hindus? No one dares to do the same to the other religions since the consequences are violent.

There is a clip from the show ,where the cast of the webseries plays a stage performer appearing as Hindu God Shiva and makers have shown the deity in a flippant light, the use of Shiva on-screen has hurt the religious sentiments of HINDU's globally which is totally unacceptable.

This web-series has deliberately added such parts mocking the Hindu sentiments only to provoke hindu community by way of negative publicity and tarnish the image of HINDU dieties on international level.

Further, the series also has a hidden political vendetta as it has targeted Indian politics, Central Govt., UP Govt which shows that illegal encounters of muslims by police is common under this govt., they have also shown the practice of physical harassment by Police to women and muslims. This series has many legal loopholes as promotion of drugs and smoking is done without showcasing any disclaimer and precautions which is an illegal practice.

They have also targeted the entire Lawyers fraternity, Magistrates of Indian courts by shaming justice of India.

They have deliberately insulted the Hindus’ religious belief as Lord Shiva is sacred among Hindus and we consider Bhagwan Shiva as one of the Creators of the universe. There was no justification whatsoever for using such obscene part in the web-series.

It is therefore, I request you to take necessary actions against the movie promoters for hurting the sentiments of Hindus at large, kindly Ban the webseries and stop it from getting aired immediately for preserving peace in country.

Immediate action must be taken and such web series creators must be punished as a message to the industry which has been defaming the Hindu religion and people for 50 years.

I request that to save our future generations from feeling debased and guilty for being Hindu, the time has come for a law and action against such blasphemous conspiracy.
