We are working to gain the support of our community in amending the current animal control ordinance, which prohibits the keeping of pet pigs within city limits.

§23.525 (1) No person, firm or corporation shall keep, harbor or have in their possession, custody or control any pig, hog, boar or swine anywhere within the limits of the City of Madison.

We believe that the key to gaining community support is dispelling the many common misconceptions about these animals. Miniature pigs are not food, they are not dangerous, they do not smell, and they offer great companionship.

We kindly ask that our neighbors, friends, and fellow pig parents sign our petition. Your support will send a clear message to our alders, indicating that their constituents endorse the proposed amendment that would permit the residence of pigs weighing less than 300 lbs within city limits.

• 9/16/2023 The Madison Common Council is meeting to discuss amending current ordinance to allow mini pigs to live in pig educated homes, like ours. 
• 9/6/2023 Madison's Board of Health voted to recommend that the Madison Common Council adopt the changes.
