Stop Packaging Babybel "Mini Melters" With Regular Packs of Mini Babybels

The Issue

I love Mini Babybels. I pack a babybel in each one of my packed lunches every day and even my mother has to admit that she enjoys the occasional cheesy treat. However recently, a very anti-environmentally friendly decision was made by Bel UK, the company that makes and sells Mini Babybels in the United Kingdom.

Regular, 12-pack Mini Babybel products, specifically in Asda, have recently begun to include a small, plastic bowl as a part of the pack. The purpose of this bowl is to melt mini babybels. However, considering the current environmental situation of our planet, this is a ridiculously disappointing and inconsiderate move by Bel UK, especially considering their websites https://www.bel-uk.co.uk/ and https://www.babybel.co.uk/ pride themselves on be environmentally friendly and aware of the impact that their decisions make on the world. Therefore, if you want to buy a 12-pack of mini babybels from now on, you must include a small plastic dish in your purchase.

However, there is a simple and effective solution. Bel UK has two options: to either stop production and selling of these plastic disks entirely, or just make the "Mini Melters" a standalone product to purchase separately. Personally, I believe the first option is the best as it is the most environmentally friendly; however, I can understand if babybel decides to make them a standalone product as there is likely a market for babybel-melting devices. In conclusion, I implore you to sign this petition and make a small but impactful change to this world.
