Baseball has long been an important part of the lives of Mobile’s youth athletes. While spring and summer leagues provide valuable opportunities for Mims Park families, they and others in Mobile District 4 are left without organized baseball activities during the fall season. A Mims Park Fall Baseball program would provide continued development, safe recreation, and positive community engagement for hundreds of local youth in Mobile.

Every year we are asked by families if we can offer Fall Baseball at Mims Park. Many surrounding parks already offer successful fall baseball leagues, and the Mims Park families deserve the same opportunity.  We continually lose families each year to parks in other districts without the opportunity to offer Fall Baseball. Our city has the park, the families, the volunteers, and the passion necessary to make Fall Baseball successful at Mims Park and serve more of the community.

We respectfully ask the City of Mobile Parks & Recreation Department and local youth sports leadership to partner with Mims Park Baseball in aiding in creating the opportunity for Fall Baseball.
