We the parents of students in the Millburn Township Elementary Schools would like to see our children in a full day of school for the remainder of the school year. Evidence over the past year from schools open a FULL day has proven that the measures to curtail Covid spread in schools is working. The spread of Covid is not happening in the schools.  The evidence shows that most, if not all, of the Covid cases in the elementary age group are spreading outside of school in activities such as sports or small gatherings. The mitigation practices in the schools are working, this includes masking, hand hygiene and distancing both in the class room and while eating. Let’s prioritize a full day of school for the younger children who desperately need in person school.
