My name is Maxime and I am 10 years old. I am worried about the number of tonnes of plastic used by Sainsbury’s every year, and the Lego cards are part of it and are quite unnecessary.

Every year, piles of plastic are dumped by the UK in Malaysia and other countries because we use too much plastic that we are not able to recycle. We are using a lot of plastic, way to much. Some of it is easy to remove from our lives and some is hard and Lego cards is nearly the easiest.

This is our planet and we need to take care of it, it’s going to affect us, children, who are the next generation and we don’t want plastic to affect our future lives.

If I lose, next year Lego cards will start again and it will be harder to stop it but because it will be more successful. If I win, and we stop it once and for all, it will save a lot of plastic, especially if you think how long it can go, centuries.

Please help by signing this petition and rejecting Lego cards if they offer them to you in plastic. Alternatively, Lego cards and card packets could be made out of recycled paper.
