Hi,

There was a blog on  Madeira Island News yesterday stating that there will be a free vacination for rabies for all dogs on Madeira, also registration and micro- chip. Why have they not included sterilization for the stray dogs, this is the most important thing of all??? Makes no sense to vacinate against rabies as they is no problem with that on Madeira and would be much better to vacinate against serious diseases like parvovirus, lymes disease, heartworm and distemper, but most likely these would cost more!!

Maybe one day they will have a sensible free vacination and sterilization policy although this has only been running for the past 3 years, but it is at least a start!
