Hi,

I have been contacted by a Portuguese lawyer through the animal charity Ajuda a Alimentar Caes, and he has asked me to join forces with him to take a petition to the government to help these dogs.

Unfortunately, it appears to be unacceptable in Portuguese Law to submit internet petitions for debate. Therefore we now have to get 1,500 paper signed ones to make it legal. 

The charity Ajuda a Alimentar Caes are taking care of this and will get friends,family etc.,to sign and the lawyer will prepare the petition ready to submit to the government.

What a headache, but that's the way things work here.
