We the listeners feel that a change of format from 95.7 "The X" (modern rock) to "Duke" FM is ill advised, because of the already large number of country stations available today that play the same era of music, for example; 93.1 FM "The Point", 106.1 "The River", and 96.7 "Merle" FM among numerous other radio stations of similar category.

It is also importation to note that 95.7 FM was the only modern rock station available to most people in our local area, and was loved by just about everyone that enjoys modern rock. I personally feel that the music, and the people that came together to operate this great station had become a part of my everyday life, I would get up for school (and then eventually work) and look forward to laughing along with the "Free Beer and Hotwings" show. When I took my lunch break I would rock out with the "Nighties At Noon", and then enjoy my ride home with Fister, and the five O'clock work release.

We believe that this change of format to 90's and 80's county will cost Mid West Communications one of it's largest fan bases, and largest group of supporters/ listeners. In the small county of Loudon, TN alone, I cannot tell you how many people have already commented with their disapproval of this change, especially given no warning at all.

We, and everyone that sighns this petition request that this station be returned to it's former format of modern rock.
