Midtown Operating Corp is a privately owned medallion taxi company that is literally using public street in residential area of Astoria, LIC , Ravenswood Houses as their storage of private fleet of yellow cabs and that of their drivers. The negative impact to the Ravenswood community is that the residents who live in the public housing have no parking spaces at all in a limited parking environment to start.  People who live and work for the public housing vicinity have no place to park their cars.  The Midtown Operating Corp. is not a resident of Ravenswood Public Housing but a private corporation who as a business entity may afford private parking garage space.  This situation is ongoing since six months ago that residents are struggling with no avail (success) to park their cars. This is a clear violation of the civil and human rights to the residents and employees of Ravenswood Public Housing and has diminished significantly their right to quality of life.  Please seize and desist from these predatory, bullying and trespassing  practices of the residents of public housing. The residents have the public right to parking as this area is their domicile, it is not the domicile of Midtown Operating Corp.  Midtown Operating Corp. is taking advantage of those tax paying citizens of Ravenswood.  It is egregious and flagrant behaviors.  It is causing enormous mental stress and physical fatigue upon those residents of Ravenswood in already very troubling times.
