While many African-American men and women all over this country are being brutalized and murdered by the law enforcement indifferent to the human rights of black people, there are countless other people of color being "buried alive" in prisons jails, locked away and warehoused with illegal obtained convictions and excessive sentences for street level drug crimes that are largely ignored or substantially minimized when committed by whites. See Michelle Alexander, The New Jim Crow: Mass Incarceration in the Age of Colorblindness (New: The New 2010).5-7,175.

Edson Gelin, Jimmy Remy Fernetus, Raymond Mike Ayap, Kissinger St. Fleur, and Gerardson Norgaisse, are  "Five Haitian-American men" who are serving a collective 140 years of imprisonment for non-violent drug and ancillary offenses predicated on overt government misconduct. The Five men were arrested, tried, and convicted in the middle District of Florida (Orlando Division) under a racially and ethnically biased prosecution. For several hundred years, the United States Constitution has prescribed that "all men are to be treated equal under the law".

By signing & sharing this petition, you will be helping "The Haitian-American Five" get their Justice in this corrupted system. Not only for "The Haitian-American Five but also, others family members that was has been mistreated and tried by the corrupted law we face today and that our ancestors have faced.
