Minecraft was bought from Mojang by Microsoft and is requiring all Java players to switch to Microsoft. However, Microsoft accounts get hacked a lot and some get shut down for no reason meaning that if you have Minecraft on your Microsoft account, it can either get hacked or shut down and you have to buy a new one.
