A few years back Microsoft discontinued its Microsoft Money program, and forced millions of us to migrate to Quicken.  The experience has been dreadful,  and it's only getting worse.  By dropping out of this arena, MS effectively handed Quicken an overwhelming monopoly in this field, and Quicken has relished in it.  Their code has noticeably degraded with each successive new release, bugs are rampant, and their support is useless.  The software is sluggish, and resource intensive.  Their is no reprieve in sight.  Bugs reported in software 3 years old lives on through each subsequent new version, and data corruption is common.  As there is no viable competition for Quicken, they have no incentive to address these issues.

We need another major player in this market, and the most viable option would be for Microsoft resurrect their Microsoft Money product, and restore competition in this market.  Quicken needs some major competition, quickly, and MS has the best chance of bringing that competion in the shortest amount of time.
