Minecraft Java Edition and Bedrock Edition are currently both separate. Microsoft does not seem to add Java Edition in crossplay.

At the moment, there is an open-source project which I urge you to check out: https://github.com/GeyserMC/Geyser. That is called true crossplay. If others can do it, why doesn't Microsoft do it?


The game mechanics in Bedrock Edition are also much different from the mechanics in Java Edition, which causes confusion for people who play on another edition.

Adding Java/Bedrock Edition crossplay will impact others in the sense where we will be able to play with one another. Playing with one another increases bonding and makes friendships stronger.

Another question I have, why did Microsoft not add Java Edition in the true crossplay? Other than the code being different, if others can do it, why can't they? Nothing is impossible.
