Petition for Micro Center to open a store in the Nashville Metropolitan Area
Why this petition matters

The Nashville Metropolitan area is ripe for competition in the electronics, computer, and networking retail front. We have never had a Fry's electronics and our local best buys' inventory is a joke. Many consider Micro Center to be one of the best electronics and computer stores in the country due to their unmatched inventory and expertise.

Reasons why Nashville Makes the most sense for the next Micro Center location:
- Location and Proximity:
- Nashville is one of only four U.S. cities where six interstate legs converge within the city's boundaries: I-65 North and South, I-40 East and West, and I-24 East and West.
- Memphis, TN is FedEx's worldwide headquarters and main hub, allowing for fast shipping for orders placed from the Nashville Store.
- The nearest Micro Center is nearly 4 hours away.
- Nashville is in direct route of many other Micro Center locations which simplifies inventory restock and distribution.
- Nashville is one of the number one destinations in the country right now and many surrounding counties have been in the top 10 growing counties in the country for almost a decade.
- Nashville is a booming technology hub with many technology firms moving here.
- Tennessee has a very friendly business climate. Our business tax rates and cost of living are very low compared to other Micro Center locations and we have plenty of skilled labor.
- Very little direct competition. As mentioned in the preface, no local stores carry the brands and inventory Micro Center stocks.
We understand this can not happen fast, but technology experts, geeks, and enthusiasts of Tennessee are begging for better local options. As a local IT expert, I could use Micro Center's inventory of networking equipment alone to sell jobs instead of constantly ordering inventory online. I know I am not alone.
