Although the decision to be moved fully online by Michigan State was a smart one, on campus resources remaining open are vital for students that have to live on campus with poor internet connection or loud roommates. The Michigan State Libraries have announced their hours will only be from 10 am to 2 pm on weekdays, and closed on Saturday and Sunday. We as students need quiet places with stable internet connection in order to give our best into all the work we do and for the price we are paying for classes. These times are unprecedented and it is expected that not all amenities can be open with the same hours. However, only having the library open for four hours at a very limited capacity is preventing many students from being able to study comfortably and remain organized during this semester. We hope that these hours can be reconsidered and extended to accommodate for different class times, and do not expect it to be open 24 hours a day.
