In the midst of the coronavirus pandemic, veterinarians have been ordered to eliminate all non essential surgeries.   This has included all spay and neuter surgeries.  While the animal community understands that this is not an emergent procedure,  we also know that this will lead to an over abundance of unwanted kittens and puppies born this year.  This will undoubtedly cause death of thousands of animals who are left to fend for themselves outdoors or destroyed in kill shelters.  Allow vets to perform spay and neuter surgeries at their discretion as long as they already have ample supplies thus not  burdening the supply chain for our human caregivers.   Thank you.
