Enforce humane laws for the animal population of Aruba

The Issue

Aruba has a very crowded, over-population problem in terms of their animals -- goats, cats, dogs, roosters, donkeys', you name it.  The only measurement set in place by the government to take control of this situation is a cylinder block rectangle, with no roof, a couple cages, and no source to food or water, called the Kill Bin.  The Kill Bin is a place where you can anonymously drop off your unwanted pets, stray animals, or accidental litter.  Footage has been leaked of animals being thrown into the backs of trucks -- sometimes still alive -- where they are then hauled off to be burned; which is apparently a progressive alternative to the metal slide that was used to dump the animals into the ocean as feeding time for sharks.

Animals are constantly being hit by cars, left on streets alone, neglected, abused, poisoned, burned, starved, or thrown into the kill bin.  They are given no respect, and no chance to live.

The solution is simple.  Animal rights laws need to be set in place to ensure that these torturous acts are made illegal and susceptible to fines. A larger, more spacious shelter needs to be built -- on the island with plenty of space.  Spay and neuter campaigns need to be advertised and readily accessible to citizens of the island.  Awareness needs to be raised!

A friend and I have been going into the Kill Bin and saving animals, having them carefully vetted, finding them homes off the island and transporting them there since January 2015.  The two of us have not only saved the lives of dogs and cats on the island, but have raised awareness to over 7,000 people worldwide.

We have had threats thrown our way, we have had rocks thrown at our dogs, we have people attempting to put us down, but we have always risen against; we have never given up. We will never give up.

Aruba is 21 miles long, and an area of 75 square miles.  Their population is approximately 100,000. Starting a small change will make a big difference.

We have changed the lives of many, continue to give life to lives in despair, and hope that you will join us in solving this problem once and for all.  If this is not solved, innocent, loving animals will continue to suffer… alone… and die.
