I think election day should be off, many people like nurses, doctors, truck drivers and many more work long, odd shifts and most of the time don't have time to work,care for there family/ house and wait in long lines to vote.

People who are healthcare workers, frontline workers etc, people who need to work,  can simply work shorter shifts, and switch more frequently to other people.

Another reasons to help my case is lots of people get nervous and have anxiety on election day and having work and school and all of that stress and anxiety building up in you is really bad, and you just need a break, even if that means taking a nap or spending time with family or cooking. 

No matter the job or age I think we all deserve a day to calm ourselves, go vote and take a little break.
