Two family pets belonging to my children are being held for ransom. There is a written agreement to turn the cats over to a specific person this past Friday, but when they arrived the people holding the cats refuse to release them. They have informed my CHILDREN and mother that they want $500 and the cats will also be taken to the shelter. All shelters have been placed on alert within a 100 mile radius. His chip maker has been notified. With all the written proof, the Pitt County Sheriff office will not help. Please, let's force them to recover these pets!!!
