This is important because under her leadership, the school district has become a suicide contagion area. The FBI had to be brought in to investigate. The SPLC had to sue the school district in order to provide protection to the students there. Furthermore, 9 students committed suicide due to bullying based on real or perceived sexual orientation within a short 2 year span. She has also been silent on this and by saying that this is not a federal issue, she has sided with the bullies

Her activities in the MN House has served to not only alienate gay, lesbian, bisexual, and transgender students, but also adults. After LGBT teens leave school and get into the workforce, they suffer a special disadvantage that is not placed on anyone else. She has advocated for nothing short of bullying LGBT Minnesotans and we will not stand for this. We call for her resignation immediately as this conduct is unbecoming of a state official who is elected to serve ALL Minnesotans.

In Bachmann’s campaign video recently posted on Advocate.com, she says that she has “fought for life” from the State house to the United States Congress, which has been an obvious lie. From the chain of suicides mentioned earlier, she has done nothing to keep LGBT teens and adults alive and protected from homophobic peers. She also indirectly states that Barack Obama “doesn’t believe in the power of prayer”, which indicates that she has a desire to change the country's founding document from the US Constitution to the Bible

By siding with bullies, she is punching the LGBTQIA community in the gut by saying she doesn’t care for the minority. “I’ve led the charge as a champion for traditional marriage,” Bachmann states, little does she know what the reality of traditional marriage is or was.

The Founding Fathers set up the Constitution of the United States to scrutinize anything related to religion from entering a discussion involving the creation of new laws, and this is exactly what Michele Bachmann wants to take away from with her stance of “a president who is steadfast on the values of life, marriage, and faith,” and “we can have a president who believes in the power of prayer”.

This can't stand in our great country. Americans are cut from many different fabrics, together we weave a great tapestry that makes a wonderful nation.
