The mascot “Red Raiders” depicts a Native American, and this can be seen in poor taste and as offensive to some people. Our Suggestion? “The Crimson Capybaras”. Keeping the red color but changing the noun to Capybara, to keep a more generalized theme of Mascots while removing the risk being seen as offensive to anyone.
