Club Space Miami ROOFTOP NOISE COMPLAINT

Club Space Miami ROOFTOP NOISE COMPLAINT
The Issue
This page is dedicated to organizing a community response to the noise coming out of the roof of club space Miami. The noise starts from 11PM Friday to about 9AM Monday. At its loudest between 3-8 am Saturday, Sunday, & Monday.
This is not a complaint about clubs or the entertainment district. There are several clubs in our area, all of which are not operating with the absolute and willful disregard of neighbors quality of life, as is the case with Club Space.
They have set up the acoustics of their atrium in such a way in which there is no noise on the ground floor. All of the noise is funneled up through the roof, and all hits all the Neighboring buildings up to the 50th floor for several blocks.
We are not the type of people complain about much of anything, but non stop banging of bass on your head every single night up until Monday morning is nothing short of torture.
Multiple noise complaints are filled against them every weekend.
-Code enforcement is often not responsive during or after hours.
-Calls to the police are ignored as off duty police officers work the door.
City of Miami Ordinance Sec. 36-4 (a) Reads that it is unlawful to produce noise or music that is plainly audible at a distance of 100 feet from the building.
Yet calls to the the police are conveniently responded with that they are unable to confirm any noise on the ground floor, knowing full will that we are complaining about the noise on the 35th floor nearly a 1000 feet away. We have even had off duty officers working the door reach out to us in response to an active 911 call, and say that the noise does not violate any city ordinance.
We have made multiple police reports, we have had police officers come up to our condo to confirm and record the noise with their body cameras. We have called code enforcement who have also came up to our condo to confirm the noise.
Club Space has been been made aware by several complaints of this issue, but are choosing to act like it’s not happening. It is clear they wish to play games with acknowledgment. The owner has literally stated that this issue is not happening. In this day and age It would appear that hiring off duty police officers assists with ones ability to break the law.
This petition will serve to form some sort of cohesive platform to organize those being affected.
*Update: Through the aid of the Downtown Neighborhood Alliance, we are now in talks with the director of code enforcement. Code enforcement have committed to us that they will issue citations for every confirmed noise violation by Club Space. Each violation is a threat to their license. If your quality of life is being affected by Club Space, please be sure to call code enforcement as often as you can. If you can not get ahold of someone, leave a voicemail or a text message for proof.
