Who is Affected?

The Mexican movement was a time of hardships and struggle,  day by day surviving along side farms while only earning a below par wage. Just enough to sustain them short term. This history that helped bring forward the independence and basic human rights needs to be remembered before it is forgotten it is sad to see history be treated like nothing when Colorado was a large factor of that movement as well. Greeley Colorado Is one of them towns that need some history instilled back into the community for generations to see and remember the history of what once was. The colony. The colony is one of the last locations that represents the proof a Mexican movement even existed. As I write this I see it’s gotten smaller And smaller and most likely won’t last very well in the long run due to the fact that time has taken a tole on the small community over the years and is currently going thru a hour glass effect where there is only a certain amount of time till our history is forgotten and lost in time. This can not stand! From the large movement who wanted nothing more then to be treated better then how they were. That nothing more then basic human rights to be treated as equals. This history needs to be memorialized at the Rodarte community center park. Why this location specifically? It is due to the fact rodarte community center is trying to keep this history alive and wants our history to persevere thru the trials and tribulations of life and be remembered for generations to come. Greeley has forgotten us it’s time to make them remember!
