Prevent standards based report cards for MEVSD and go back to letter grades

The Issue

An administrative decision was made to expand the standards based grading for report cards which would eliminate the classic system of A, B, C, D, F.  The evaluation process with standards based grading will be a continuum format where the student may start low and as they improve or learn, numbers on the scale from 1 to 4 will increase.  This is a difficult way of reflecting a child's educational state during the first couple of quarters as they go into a new grade. There also isn't a format for honor roll or how this will transition into a GPA once they get into higher levels of education.
