# Hold MetLife Stadium Accountable for a Staff Member's Public Racist and Xenophobic Remarks About Performers

**Target:** MetLife Stadium Management / New Meadowlands Stadium Corporation

## The Issue

A MetLife Stadium Safety Services employee, identified on his own public Facebook profile as David F. Flores, posted a public update after working a recent BTS concert at the venue. In the post, he mocked the performers using language that reduced them to racialized and gendered stereotypes about cosmetic surgery and makeup, dismissed their talent entirely, and said the only thing worth watching was the fireworks. He closed the post suggesting the crowd for an upcoming show would be even harder to deal with.

This wasn't a private conversation. It was posted publicly, under his own name, next to a photo showing him in uniform with his MetLife Stadium Safety Services credential clearly visible (badge #286), posing with fans in the very venue he's paid to keep safe.

## Why This Matters

MetLife Stadium hosts fans from every background, and its safety staff are supposed to protect all of them equally. An employee in a guest-facing safety role publicly ridiculing performers with racist and xenophobic stereotypes raises a real question: can this employee, and others who may share his views, be trusted to treat concertgoers of Asian, Korean, or other backgrounds fairly and professionally while on duty? Fans who spend hundreds of dollars on tickets and travel deserve venue staff who respect them, not staff who mock the artists they came to see.

## Our Demand

We call on MetLife Stadium to:

1. **Investigate** this employee's conduct and any pattern of similar behavior among staff.
2. **Take disciplinary action** appropriate to a public display of bigotry by someone in a guest-safety role.
3. **Issue a public statement** clarifying that this does not reflect the venue's values.
4. **Commit to bias and respect training** for guest-facing staff, especially safety personnel who interact directly with fans.

MetLife Stadium's reputation is built on hosting artists and fans from every culture. It should hold its own staff to that same standard.
