Following the passage of the beloved Alex Trebek, the show "Jeopardy!" is in need of a new host. Obviously, nobody can ever quite fill those shoes, but the show must go on.

Andrew Heaton seems the perfect choice. The self-described "thinking man's nerd" has short bursts of inoffensive deadpan comedic musings, that are serious but lack pretention. He's likely to wear tweed with the standard blazer elbow patches of a quirky college professor. You know-- the type in some horribly uplifting movie where they get in trouble with the stodgy, rule obsessed board for caring too much.

He currently hosts two podcasts-- "Alienating the Audience" which is a deep dive on science fiction, and "The Political Orphanage" which mixes, shakes, and stirs equal parts satire and news.
