Climate change is now one of the biggest issues of our time, therefore, our curriculum should also reflect this. Currently, Mercer University has no class dedicated to climate change and its effect, and we are making this petition in hope to change that. We propose that Mercer University make Climate Change a gen-ed class that students can choose to take to satisfy the Social/Behavioral Science box. 

At Mercer, students major in changing the world, but how can we change the world if we are not provided with the necessary resources to address one of the biggest issues our generation have to deal with?
