Parents rights in getting shared information

Parents rights in getting shared information

The Issue

Give parents the right to receive shared information about the welfare of their adult vunreable sons and daughters whom don't have the mental capacity to make certain decisions due to their mental health  condition and vulnerability. Autism, cronic depression, personality desorder, can be very complex. Very often a hidden disability...

Our vunreable son cut off from his past including his family and friends when he was officially diagnosed with autism and other conditions at the age of 21, when he was provided with support living. We always argued that our son didn't have the mental capacity to understand the consequences of such decision but the local authorities challenged us on that. Our son's life ended up in tragedy when he was left to fend for himself after his supported living help was stopped and his benefits cut off and no one was there to help or check on his welfare.

Had his family been allowed to be involved in his welfare his death could have been prevented.

His dead body went undiscovered for 9 months in his unsupported living accommodation.

My fb page bellow has my plea for contact etc with my son since 2014 but to no avail.

Justiceforayman(Roy)

New laws should be introduced to protect not only the individual but their families rights too. Parents should have rights when comes to their loved ones welfare.

Listen to and use the families they know best.

So our son didn't die in vain.

A very cruel society we live in, I have lost my son for ever. And the everyday living grief i can only imagine the agony my son must have had to his last days before taking his life...
