We all know mental health services are under so much strain because the lack of funding, but also the people who work there have no passion for their patients.

Huge waiting lists, short support, transfer to transfer to other support networks because they don't want to.

This petition has been made for Mathew Lee Peace. 

A man who had suffered with mental health and no matter how many times he pleaded he'd be turned away.

"If you accept help we will help you, but then it isn't taken seriously, but legally they cannot force you to go to a hospital without their consent despite family consenting "!

January 2021 Mathew had phoned me (his sister ) telling me where he was was very high and that he was scared, that he cannot be helped, and nobody wanted to help him,

 Luckily for me I begged him to not do it and he went back home.

That was when we went onto phoning mental health services, crisis team, hospital.

A few doctors had come over to speak to him, but other than that nothing was done, 

A few months went by crisis team was phoned again because Mathew had said he was going to cut his throat with a saw. Nothing was done.

A few more attempts Mathew was then sent to the Dale's in Halifax for assessment with our Mother, he told them he had suspicions that he was suffering with psychosis. He was given a 7 day supply of medicication till his MRI and tests had come back.

We noticed a massive difference in Mathew he felt happy again, wanting to get a passport so he can go on holiday with our parents and he applied for a provisional licence so he can learn to drive and buy a motorbike.

A  few days later he got the results back and he was very upset with the outcome he wasn't suffering with psychosis and that the medication he was taking had be stopped immediately. He would still have professionals coming over on a daily basis to teach him "life skills " which is not what Mathew wanted or needed.

On a few visits with one of his workers doing life skills and visits he'd mentioned he was on a forum that was used for suicide discussions and ways to do it he'd mentioned to the worker he was on it and became a member, 

Next visit Mathew had told his worker again he had researched into fertiliser "the suicide cocktail " because he had seen it mentioned on the forum.

Next visit he had mentioned yet again he had bought fertiliser and that it was on it's way in the post.

Next visit Mathew had informed them again that the item he had bought had arrived and was in his bedroom waiting, he just didn't know when he was going to use it. 

We wasn't informed of this Mathew had lived with our parents and nothing was said to them or nothing was said to a third party.

On the 23rd May 2021 West Yorkshire police had recieved a call, which resulted immediately to going to the home, they had arrived with ambulance, someone to detect the substance, 

My parents and brother was escorted out of the building I was then messaged telling me this had happened.

No medical team was allowed into the building unless the substance was considered safe to be near. 

They then informed by family that my brother had passed away, 

His death has been confirmed by consuming the fertiliser. 

This is why I've made this petition today. Mental health needs to be taken a lot more seriously it's one of the highest killers
