I am pleased to announce that we have hit 200 signatures. I didn't expect us to hit this milestone so quickly. It was only 18 hours ago that I created this petition between Graduation and Project Graduation. When it began, I was so upset by everything. Member of my family were too upset to watch the stream in the small gym. My parents, siblings, and Grandma(totaling 6 people) were all in the small gym and they were very upset by the time that I got back from my diploma. We all knew yesterday that they would have to call it. When they didn't I was confused, and when they did call it, I wasn't suprised. The trouble was it was 6 and many people were already there, with their tickets being turned in, so there was no way to know who had blue tickets and who had yellow tickets. The administration told us to call and inform our parents and all went well, or seemingly went well. We were in line waiting for probably an hour. When it passed 7pm we joked about how if we were even a few second late to class we could get detention. As it approach 7:05pm we joked that we should call their parents because they were absent. We had no idea what was going on in the cafeteria/gym area. We didn't really know until afterwards when our parents were upset. Finding out what had happened made me very upset. I didn't want to think about graduation anymore. So I made this. I hoped that maybe enough people would support this to make a difference. I figured that it would mainly be kids, who's graduation was ruined and their parents. Last night I constantly checked my phone and I think that we had 10 signatures, I was ecstatic. In the morning I woke up to an Email from Change.org, we had 50 signatures. When I got online to check if there were anymore signatures, I was thrilled to see 66. Throughout the day, I have been astonished by the waves of people. Sometimes, It goes 20 minutes without another signature. Other times, I come on to see 10 more people had signed. In fact, in the time that I have been writing this we have earned 20 more signatures. That tells me that it is you guys who are making the Impact. You are impacting people who do not want to see this happen to anyone. To close this update out, I want to tell you a secret(not really a secret) about Facebook. Every time you like, comment or share something on Facebook, you tell Facebook that is important. Since many of you have your location set to Leavenworth, Facebook will see that the people in Leavenworth are interested and it will spread the post further. So, I want to challenge you to try something. After you get done reading this post share the petition on Facebook. Then, five minutes later, check your newsfeed. Scroll through and try to find other people who have shared it. On those posts like them and Comment, it doesn't have to be much, even 'Thanks' will work. This will send the petition to the top of everyone's newsfeed and we will be able to reach many more people. Thank you to all of you, whether you were signature 2 or 202. All of you are contributing to this in such a way that we might succeed.
