Meet Justin-Ames Gamache: First in Family to Graduate College

The Issue

Graduated college - University of Phoenix - class of 2023

My name is Justin-Ames Gamache, and I am proud to be the first in my family to graduate from college. This milestone is more than a personal achievement — it’s a reflection of years of perseverance, dedication, and unwavering belief in the transformative power of education.

Over the course of two decades, I have overcome significant obstacles including financial hardship, housing instability, and systemic barriers. Yet, through every challenge, I remained committed to learning and growing. My academic journey includes earning:

An Associate’s in Business Administration
A Bachelor’s in Interdisciplinary Studies
A Master of Education
A Master of Science in Psychology with Distinction
And I am currently completing my Doctorate in Education at the University of Phoenix
This petition is a celebration of that journey — and a call to action for those who believe in:

Educational equity and support for first-generation college students
The importance of resilience and personal growth
Recognizing that success is not always linear — but it is always worth fighting for The power of community support to uplift and inspire others
I invite you to sign this petition as a statement of support — for me and for countless others who are working hard to break cycles, overcome adversity, and create a better future through education.

By signing, you are helping shine a light on what’s possible when people don’t give up — and when a community stands behind them.

Thank you for believing in the power of perseverance and the promise of education.

– Justin-Ames Gamache
