It is very difficult and scary times.

This pandemic has made us all realise the importance being kind and considerate to each other and most of all that our families are precious and do not want to leave their side. 

Due to gyms, restaurants, shops etc. closing, a lot or people have been forced to stay at home but for us, NHS staff in Medway Hospital - we care! And this is the reason why we get up every morning to look after your loved ones; and as charges are being waved right, front and centre from hotels, gyms, discounts given to NHS staff from food services - WE should not have to pay for parking. Some of our colleagues are adding a few hours to their already tiring 12hr shift by parking at Dock Side and then travelling to Medway Hospital before they even start their shift and then having to travel to Dock Side when at the end of the shift - we finish exhausted!

All charges and salary deductions for staff parking permits as well as parking restrictions during Covid-19 should be waived. 

Please help us look after our patients by looking after us.
