We the undersigned call upon medical organization leadership to broadly encourage their members to volunteer as in-person poll workers in the upcoming election.

As a profession, we consistently devote ourselves to working objectively in the public interest. Given Covid-19 has resulted in a shortage of traditional volunteer poll workers and raised questions of objectivity related to in-person voting, we believe our group consisting of generally younger, healthier, objective professionals with front-line experience in PPE, would be instrumental in rectifying this shortcoming.

We would ask that you, medical leadership, call upon your members to help fulfill this need and provide guidance, support and assistance necessary to facilitate all those capable and willing to preserve this critical role.
