We as middle school students at Medea Creek Middle School have been stuck inside of our homes for over six months. The majority of the student body have school-issued Chromebooks. As we will most likely be stuck at home for a good amount of this school year, we are asking that the school unblock some sites on our Chromebooks for the time being while we are in distance learning. Some sites that we would like to be unblocked are:

School-appropriate gaming sites
Educational video sites
Sites such as Discord or other sites we can use to get in touch with our friends

Some sites that we would not recommend unblocking are:

Offensive or explicit content
Content not rated for kids our age

As I have stated earlier, most of the students only have school-issued Chromebooks and during these difficult times, it would be nice to relax every once in a while. I hope that by reading all of this information and understanding our reasons for doing this, you decide to sign this petition to help out the students and relieve some stress.
