Pacaltsdorp is a proud community with a rich history. It currently only have one Secondary School  that serve a community of approximately 27 000. It is confirmed a "plankie" school. Due to a lack of necessary upgrades at Pacaltsdorp Secondary School, what was once the pride of Pacaltsdorp is falling into disrepair. An upgrade/rebuilding of the school to the highest standards, is vital to ensure maximising the learner opportunities our students deserve and to create a new sense of community pride. 

We the undersigned therefore would like a commitment from the WCED and Provincial Minister of Education, MEC Debbie Schafër, since the school is on the list of replacement, that funds will be made available and the long overdue upgrade prioritised.
