In order to embrace the diversity of our region, it is important and most equitable to provide school lunches that are inclusive to all cultures, religions, socioeconomic status, or lifestyle preference. By providing daily vegan lunch options, more students may feel more comfortable choosing school lunch. 

While there are a myriad of reasons to offer more whole-food plant-based options in our school's cafeterias, the main focus is Equity. These reasons may range from sustainability, to health, to cultural or religious beliefs. It is vital we listen to and serve our constituents well and meet their values and dietary needs.
