The Issue

As a resident of Mead Valley, Perris, I have experienced firsthand the beauty and tranquility of our rural lifestyle. I love our large lots, open spaces, and the close-knit community that thrives here. However, recent attempts to change rural zoning and implement high-density apartments additional warehouses, and proposition of making Cajalco a freeway threaten to destroy the very essence of what makes Mead Valley special.

For decades, we have enjoyed a serene environment that prioritizes nature and neighborly ties. Yet, the push for a Cajalco freeway and increased industrial development jeopardizes not only our landscape but also our way of living. These changes may lead to increased traffic, pollution, and a decline in property value while neglecting our fundamental need for improved neighborhood safety and infrastructure.

What Mead Valley truly needs is the city’s investment in enhancing our neighborhoods by paving roads, adopting trails, expanding community parks and centers, implementing sidewalks, and making our community safer. These improvements will preserve the unique quality of life residents hold dear while ensuring safety and well-being.

We need to halt the relentless push towards urbanization without regard for the desires and needs of Mead Valley residents. Prioritizing real community needs over profit-driven initiatives will protect our homes and ensure a promising future for our children.

Please sign this petition to urge city leaders to maintain our rural zoning, reject plans for high-density apartments and excessive industrial expansion, and focus on making real improvements that truly benefit the people of Mead Valley, Perris.
