Paul’s Authority From God

Paul Called By God  

1:11 I want you to know, brothers, that the Gospel I preached is not something that man made up.

1:12 I did not receive it from any man, nor was I taught it; rather, I received it by revelation from Jesus Christ. 

1Cor. 15:1, 2 

Now, brothers, I want to remind of the gospel I preached to you, which you received and on which you taken your stand. By this gospel you are saved, if you hold firmly to the word I preached to you. Otherwise, you have believed in vain. 

Is. 40:9; Ro. 1:16 

You who bring good tidings to Zion, 

Is. 41:27 

I was the first to tell Zion, ‘Look, here they are!’ I gave to Jerusalem a messenger of good tidings. 

Go up on a high mountain. You who bring good tidings to Jerusalem,c

Is. 1:1 

The vision concerning Judah and Jerusalem the Isaiah son of Amoz saw during the reigns of Uzziah, Jotham, Ahaz and Hezekiah, kings of Judah. Lift up your voice with a shout, lift it up, do not be afraid; say to the towns of Judah, ‘’Here is your God!’’ 

Is. 25:9 

In that day they will say, ‘’Surely this is our God; we trusted in him, and he saved us. 

Ps. 145:19 

He fulfills the desires of those who fear him; he hears their cry and saves them. 

Ps. 31:22 

In my alarm I said, 

Ps. 116:11 

And in my dismay I said, ‘’All men are liars.’’ 

Hos. 7:13 

Woe to them, 

Hos. 9:12 

Even if they rear children, I will bereave them to every one. 

Ezek. 24:21 

Say to the house of Israel, ‘This is what the LORD says: I am about desecrate my sanctuary—the stronghold in which you take pride, the delight of your eyes, the object of your affection. The sons and daughters you left behind will fall by the sword. Woe to them when I turn away from them! 

Deut. 31:17 

On that day I will become angry with them and forsake them; I will hide my face from them, and they will be destroyed. Many disasters and difficulties will come upon them, and on that day they will ask, ‘Have not these disasters come upon us because our God is not with us? Because they have strayed from me!

This is what the LORD says about this  people: ‘’They greatly love to wander; they do not restrain their feet. 

Ps. 119:101 

I have kept my feet from every evil path so that I might obey your word. So the LORD does not accept them;
